Huntington County Pool Tournament
February 6th 2010
Half the fun of taking pictures is the trip
there and the new people you meet along the way. Having never been to Huntington
County I learned a few new things: birthplace of Dan Quail, Very Scenic and
Hoosier Hospitality never changes.
Yes, Indeed, there is a Library to the former Vice President in Huntington, IN
(maybe we should try getting one for Schuyler Colfax). The County was
picturesque, think I'll try the trip on the bike sometime this year. As far as
friendly Hoosiers goes, they never seem to change that.
My Destination was the small town of Markle, IN and the Pickle Bar. Not a very
large place, but then again neither is Markle. It might have been better if they
had a third pool table (I understand that is in the works). I will say the food
there is great and the place is friendly! Pool Tournaments, being what they are,
can go either quickly or otherwise. This
seemed to go a little slow, but had some excitement. In double elimination the
overall winner plays the one time loser for the title. If the one time loser
wins the game they are now even and have to do a rematch. So it went with this
leg of the tournament. First Place ended up with Brian Graft, Second to Scott
Hullinger and Third to Steve Dickhoener. Good luck for the final match in Grant
County!
